Mothers Sausage Casserole Recipe

Mothers Sausage Casserole Recipe

This dish is one of my family’s favorite. My mother used to make this all the time when I was growing up. I have now passed this dish onto my family. In hopes that one day my children will pass it along. There’s several ways that you can make this recipe. I’m sharing with you, the way I make this dish. I’m also  going to share a few tips at the bottom on ways to add more flavor. This dish should be one of the easiest meals that you will ever fix.

7 Fresh Potatoes

1 Lb. Mild Country Sausage

2 Cups of Mozzarella cheese

Slice your potatoes into thin slices in a skillet and fry.

Brown the sausage in a separate skillet. Make sure you are stirring frequently.
Drain the grease from both potatoes and sausage.
Next you will combine the sausage and potatoes in a baking dish.
Once completed cover your dish with shredded mozzarella cheese.
Bake at 350 degrees until the cheese on top is completely melted and slightly browned.
That’s it, supper is served.
Tip: You can fry up peppers and onions and add to your dish for flavor.
For a breakfast dish you can add cooked eggs before you bake.
I hope you enjoy this dish as much as we do!
