Family time is sacred and every moment should be valued and cherished. As the moments quickly pass us by, it’s important that we’re creating fun and enjoyable memories for our kids. As my boys are quickly growing, I’m always thinking of fun new activities that they’ll enjoy. It’s a great bonding experience and overall fun times spent together.
Since we’re prepping for winter, I thought it be a perfect time to relax and share a delicious cup of cocoa. However, I do have some picky little toddlers at this time, so what better way to make a cup of cocoa more appealing than snowmen? These snowmen dunking sticks are fun and exciting for both children and adults all while extremely easy to make. Did I mention there delicious too?
What You’ll Need:
A cup of Hot Cocoa
Pirouline Cream Filled Wafers (Dollar Tree is where I bought mine)
Decorating Gel (Orange and Black)
- Place the Chocolate Chips in a double broiler on medium heat. Melt the chips while stirring frequently. Once the chocolate chips are fully melted remove from heat.
- Slide 3 Large marshmallows onto a Pirouline Wafer. I’m using the Dark Chocolate Cream Filled Wafer, but you can also use Hazelnut if preferred.
- Dip the top of the marshmallow in the melted chocolate to create the snowmen hat. Let Cool.
- Once the chocolate has cooled on your snowman’s head, you’ll create a snowman face with the decorating gel. I used the black decorating gel to create the button eyes, and mouth. Use the orange decorating gel to create a carrot nose.
That’s it! Your Snowman Dunking Stick is finished. Now Repeat the steps until you’ve reached the desire amount of snowman for your required amount of sticks.
Please keep in mind, if your making cocoa for your children make sure the cocoa has cooled down before serving.
These snowmen would also make great little gifts. Just add a coffee mug and a pack of cocoa for a special person on your Christmas list.
My family really enjoyed these snowmen dunking sticks along with our hot cocoa. As I hope your family does as well. The kiddos’ thought the snowmen were a great idea, as did I.
Have a Happy Holiday from my family to yours!
