I have to admit that 2017 was a really great year. Although we made a lot of great memories this year, I’m really excited to see what 2018 has in store for us. Of course, there were a few rough patches, but now that I’m a mother I’ve learned not to sweat the small things.
Motherhood has changed me in more ways than one, and one of those ways is how I choose to celebrate on the holidays. New Years is defiantly the holiday that I celebrate completely different now. In my younger years I would have a few drinks with family and friends. The older I became, the more I liked to go out on the town and celebrate. Since having my little bundles of joy, I’m the complete opposite. I would pick being snuggled up on the couch with them just to watch the clock strike midnight verses going out any day.
As we love to celebrate the holiday as a family, my husband and I look for fun ideas to do with the kiddos. Last New Year’s Eve we had a fun night planned with the kiddos that you can check out A Child Friendly, New Years Party. Which it turned out to be a huge success. We all really enjoyed playing games, building forts, and eating lots of junk food together. It was just a struggle to stay awake until midnight, at least for my husband anyways.
This year I would love to do some of those same things but add a few things too. So, I decided to make some fun New Year’s printables for the kids to color and enjoy. I hope your kiddos can find joy in them as well. They ‘re completely free, all you have to do is download the PDF version, print them, and enjoy!
As this year is about to come to an end, always keep in mind that next year awaits new adventures. If 2017 wasn’t the best, then I hope 2018 rocks for you! If you had a pretty great year, then may 2018 be even better. Just keep a positive mindset and never stop reaching for your goals. Don’t give up, just always keep pushing.
